- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a cupcake tray with paper liners.
- Beat together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, blending well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
- Add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, mixing until just combined.
- Fill the liners about two-thirds full with batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the tray for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
