- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 1 cup strawberry jam
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease your 9×13 inch baking dish thoroughly.
- Beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually fold the dry mix into the batter, stirring until just combined.
- Spread two-thirds of the dough across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Spread the strawberry jam over the dough and scatter the chopped strawberries on top.
- Crumble the remaining dough over the strawberries.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and cool slightly before cutting into squares.
- Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
