- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup strawberry syrup
- Whipped cream for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and let the anticipation build.
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until they’re harmoniously combined.
- Cut in the cold, diced butter using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles course crumbs.
- Pour in the heavy cream and combine gently until just moistened.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead softly just until it holds together.
- Roll the dough to about 1-inch thick and use a round cutter to create biscuit shapes.
- Place the rounds on a prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow the biscuits to cool on a wire rack.
- Combine sliced strawberries with strawberry syrup and gently toss.
- Slice each biscuit in half, layer with strawberries, and dollop with whipped cream before serving.
Notes
Store biscuits and strawberries separately. Best enjoyed fresh but can be refrigerated for up to two days.
