Description

A moist, fluffy cake filled with vibrant strawberry jello and topped with whipped cream and fresh strawberries, perfect for summer celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup strawberry jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup whipped cream or Cool Whip
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare your baking pan by greasing and flouring a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. Mix the batter: In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
  5. Cool the cake in the pan for about 10 minutes.
  6. Poke holes all over the top of the cake with a fork.
  7. Prepare the jello: Dissolve the strawberry jello in 1 cup of boiling water.
  8. Add the jello mixture evenly over the warm cake.
  9. Chill the cake until room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  10. Top with whipped cream and garnish with fresh strawberries.
  11. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

This cake tastes better the following day, allowing the jello to set overnight. Customize with different jello flavors or add fruit for texture.
