Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp oil
- 3/4 cup warm water
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Stir them together until evenly mixed.
- Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the flour mixture. Mix with your hands or a fork until it appears crumbly.
- Gradually pour in 3/4 cup of warm water, mixing continuously until a sticky dough forms.
- Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead it for about 5-7 minutes until it turns smooth and elastic.
- Cover the kneaded dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
- Once rested, divide the dough into 4-6 equal balls.
- Roll each ball into a circle about 1/8 inch thick.
- Heat a non-stick griddle over medium-high heat. Cook each tortilla for 30-40 seconds on each side.
- Keep the cooked tortillas covered with a cloth to maintain warmth and softness.
Notes
Using warm water is crucial for a soft texture. Don’t skip the resting period!
