Description

Sizzling and aromatic porcupine meatballs in a rich tomato sauce, perfect for family gatherings and weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the meatball mixture by combining ground beef, rice, onion, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Shape mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  4. Arrange the meatballs in a baking dish closely together.
  5. Make the sauce by mixing the tomato sauce and water in a separate bowl.
  6. Cover the meatballs with the sauce.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
  8. Uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
