Description

A flavorful Italian grinder sandwich filled with rich meats, creamy cheese, and fresh vegetables, perfectly baked for a delicious meal.


Ingredients

  • Italian bread or hoagie rolls
  • Sliced salami
  • Sliced ham
  • Sliced provolone cheese
  • Lettuce (iceberg or romaine)
  • Tomato (sliced)
  • Red onion (sliced)
  • Olive oil
  • Red wine vinegar
  • Oregano
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the Italian bread or hoagie rolls in half lengthwise.
  3. Layer the sliced salami, ham, and provolone cheese on the bottom half of the bread.
  4. Add a layer of lettuce, followed by tomato slices and red onion.
  5. Mix together olive oil, red wine vinegar, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  6. Drizzle this mixture over the toppings.
  7. Close the sandwich with the top half of the bread and gently press.
  8. Wrap the sandwich in aluminum foil and place it on your baking sheet.
  9. Bake for about 10-15 minutes until the cheese has melted and the bread is toasted.
  10. Let it cool for a moment, then cut into portions and serve warm.

Notes
