Description

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Mix the melted butter with buttermilk, then stir in lemon zest.
  4. Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and stir gently until combined.
  5. Fold in the blueberries with caution.
  6. Pour the remaining melted butter into a greased baking dish.
  7. Spoon dollops of biscuit batter over the melted butter.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
