- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced thinly
- 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed and cut
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite type)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup beef broth or water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
- Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic in the skillet until the onion turns translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Prepare a greased 9×13 inch baking dish by layering sliced potatoes evenly at the bottom.
- Layer the beef mixture on top of the potatoes, followed by the fresh green beans.
- Pour the beef broth over the layers, and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Add the shredded cheese on top and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the casserole sit for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
