A comforting and hearty casserole filled with ground beef, crispy hash browns, and gooey cheese, perfect for any meal.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 bag (30 oz) frozen hash browns
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown the ground beef and chopped onion in a large skillet over medium heat until the beef is cooked through and the onions are translucent.
- Drain excess fat from the skillet.
- Combine the cooked beef and onion with the frozen hash browns, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and half of the shredded cheese in a large mixing bowl.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish evenly.
- Top with the remaining shredded cheese.
- Bake for 45 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving, garnishing with green onions if desired.
Notes
Prepare the casserole the night before and refrigerate before baking for fresh flavors. Can be made in an air fryer as well.
