Description

Delightful ham and cheese biscuits with a tender, flaky texture, perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 cup diced cooked ham
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl. Whisk until evenly blended.
  3. Cut in the cold cubes of butter using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the shredded cheese and diced ham until evenly distributed.
  5. Pour in the milk gradually, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently about 5-6 times.
  7. Roll out the dough to about 1-inch thickness and cut out your biscuits.
  8. Arrange the biscuits on a baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm, optionally with butter or honey.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Prepare the dough a day in advance and refrigerate. Can also be made in an air fryer.
