- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 cup diced cooked ham
- 3/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl. Whisk until evenly blended.
- Cut in the cold cubes of butter using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the shredded cheese and diced ham until evenly distributed.
- Pour in the milk gradually, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently about 5-6 times.
- Roll out the dough to about 1-inch thickness and cut out your biscuits.
- Arrange the biscuits on a baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm, optionally with butter or honey.
