Description

Indulge in these rich and fudgy brownies with luscious swirls of condensed milk caramel, perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth.


Ingredients

  • 14 oz (396 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (50 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup (95 g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs at room temperature
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp (1.5 g) salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Prepare your baking pan by lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Melt the butter in a mixing bowl in the microwave or over low heat.
  4. Stir in the granulated sugar while the butter is warm.
  5. Incorporate the eggs, one at a time, whisking thoroughly after each addition.
  6. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  7. Whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, and salt in a separate bowl.
  8. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  9. Pour about 3/4 of the sweetened condensed milk into the brownie batter and gently fold it in.
  10. Layer half of the brownie batter into the lined pan, then drizzle with half of the reserved condensed milk caramel.
  11. Repeat layering with the remaining batter and caramel.
  12. Swirl the caramel through the batter with a knife.
  13. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.
  14. Cool the brownies in the pan on a wire rack for at least 1 hour before slicing.

Notes

Allowing the brownies to cool will help set the gooey caramel for easy slicing.
