Description

A delightful salad featuring al dente pasta, juicy cherry tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and fresh basil, all dressed in a simple olive oil and balsamic dressing.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups al dente pasta (fusilli or penne)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup mozzarella pearls
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add your choice of pasta. Cook until al dente according to package instructions. Once done, drain and let it cool in the colander.
  2. Combine ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, add the cooled pasta along with halved cherry tomatoes, mozzarella pearls, and freshly torn basil leaves.
  3. Prepare the dressing: In a separate bowl, whisk together extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, and a sprinkle of sea salt.
  4. Dress the salad: Pour the dressing over the pasta mixture, using tongs to gently toss everything until well-coated.
  5. Serve: Enjoy immediately, or refrigerate for 30 minutes for better flavor infusion.

Notes
