- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup rolled oats
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Cream the butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and milk until smooth.
- Prepare the dry ingredients in another bowl: whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Mix the dry mixture into the wet ingredients gently, just until combined.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan.
- Create the crumb topping by mixing together brown sugar, oats, cinnamon, and melted butter until crumbly.
- Sprinkle half of the crumb topping over the first layer of batter.
- Pour the remaining batter over the crumb topping and sprinkle the rest over the surface.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
