Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a cupcake tray with liners.
- Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk together sugar and vegetable oil. Then add eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fill the cupcake liners about two-thirds full with batter.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow the cupcakes to cool in the tray for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
- To make the frosting, beat the softened butter until creamy, then add cocoa powder and powdered sugar, gradually adding milk until desired consistency.
- Frost the cooled cupcakes generously.
