Description

A rich and decadent chocolate pound cake with a creamy cream cheese twist, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan thoroughly.
  2. Cream the butter and cream cheese together until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Sweeten the mixture by gradually adding the granulated sugar.
  4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly.
  5. Add the vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  6. Combine the dry ingredients in another bowl: flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  7. Blend the dry mix and milk into the creamed mixture, alternating starting and ending with the dry mix.
  8. Pour the thick batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  9. Bake for 60–70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool the cake in the pan for about 10 minutes before turning it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Allow the cream cheese and butter to soften before mixing for a smoother batter. Prepare a day in advance for even better flavor.
