Description

Delicious and healthy Chicken Lettuce Wraps filled with savory ground chicken and crisp vegetables, perfect for a light meal or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, onions)
  • ½ cup chopped peanuts
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 head of lettuce (Bibb or romaine)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the skillet: Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat, allowing it to warm gradually.
  2. Cook the chicken: Add the ground chicken to the skillet and sauté until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the vegetables and peanuts: Introduce chopped vegetables and peanuts into the skillet, stirring for about 5 minutes.
  4. Incorporate sauces: Pour in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil, seasoning with salt and pepper. Mix and cook for an additional minute.
  5. Remove and cool: Take the skillet off the heat and allow the filling to cool slightly.
  6. Assemble and serve: Spoon the warm filling into each lettuce leaf, wrapping them tightly. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, prepare the filling a day in advance. These wraps are customizable; you can substitute with ground turkey or tofu.
