Description

Delicious breakfast rolls filled with fluffy eggs, savory ham, and gooey cheese, drizzled with hollandaise sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup cooked ham, diced
  • 4 large eggs, scrambled
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/4 cup hollandaise sauce

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast: In a large bowl, whisk together the warm milk and sugar, adding the instant yeast. Allow this mixture to sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. Combine ingredients: Pour in the melted butter, flour, salt, and garlic powder into the yeast mixture. Stir until a shaggy dough starts to form.
  3. Knead your dough: Transfer the mixture to a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Let it rise: Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven: As your dough rises, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Shape your rolls: Roll out the dough into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
  7. Fill the rolls: Spread the scrambled eggs, diced ham, and shredded cheese evenly over the dough.
  8. Roll and cut: Carefully roll the dough tightly into a log and slice it into even pieces.
  9. Second rise: Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Drizzle with hollandaise: Drizzle warm hollandaise sauce over the rolls before serving.
