Description

Delicious banana donuts topped with a creamy cinnamon frosting, perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (for frosting)
  • 12 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. Combine the mashed bananas, sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract in a large bowl, and whisk until smooth.
  3. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet banana mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool the donuts in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, cinnamon, and enough milk to achieve desired frosting consistency.
  9. Spread the frosting on the cooled donuts. Enjoy!

Notes

Make-ahead options: Prepare the batter the night before and refrigerate. Can also use air fryer for a lighter version.
