- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (for frosting)
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- Combine the mashed bananas, sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract in a large bowl, and whisk until smooth.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet banana mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the donuts in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, cinnamon, and enough milk to achieve desired frosting consistency.
- Spread the frosting on the cooled donuts. Enjoy!
Notes
Make-ahead options: Prepare the batter the night before and refrigerate. Can also use air fryer for a lighter version.
