Description

A savory and tender chicken dish marinated in Greek yogurt, garlic, and herbs that is baked to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon, juiced

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, minced garlic, olive oil, oregano, thyme, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a zip-top bag or shallow bowl. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring every inch is coated. Seal tightly and refrigerate for at least one hour or overnight.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Remove chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off, and arrange in a single layer in a baking dish.
  5. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Let rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

Marinate overnight for the best flavor. Use a meat thermometer to ensure your chicken is cooked properly.
