Description

Delicious swirled cupcakes featuring a delightful fusion of sweet vanilla and a hint of berry-like richness, topped with creamy frosting.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Red food coloring
  • White frosting (buttercream or cream cheese)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with colorful liners.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture alternately with the milk.
  5. Divide the finished batter into two bowls. Tint one bowl with red food coloring.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of red and white batter into each cupcake liner, creating swirls.
  7. Gently swirl the batter in each cup with a toothpick.
  8. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cupcakes cool completely before frosting.

Notes

Use natural alternatives for red food coloring if desired. Adjust baking time if using an air fryer.
