- 1 kg lamb or beef, cut into cubes
- 1 large onion, grated
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Skewers (metal or soaked wooden)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine grated onion, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Add the meat cubes to the marinade and mix well to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated meat onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
- Grill the skewers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve with rice, grilled vegetables, or flatbread.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add bell peppers or cherry tomatoes to the skewers.
- Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before using to prevent burning.
