Description

Peanut Butter Blossom Bars are a delicious and irresistible dessert that combines the rich flavor of peanut butter with a chocolate kiss on top, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 24 chocolate kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the peanut butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and immediately press the chocolate kisses into the center of each bar.
  8. Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For a nut-free version, substitute peanut butter with sunflower seed butter.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
  • These bars can be frozen for up to 3 months; just thaw before serving.
