Description

Indulge in rich maple flavors harmonized with crispy bacon, served over succulent pork chops and drizzled in a creamy Dijon sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in pork chops
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, combine maple syrup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Marinate the Pork Chops: Coat the pork chops in the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 4 hours.
  3. Cook the Pork Chops: Preheat grill or skillet; grill chops for 4-6 minutes per side or sear in skillet for 3-5 minutes until cooked to 145°F.
  4. Make the Dijon Cream Sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat, whisk in flour, then gradually add milk and cream, whisking until thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Finish the Sauce: Stir in remaining Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and seasoning. Simmer for another minute.
  6. Serve: Plate pork chops topped with Dijon cream sauce and crumbled bacon.

Notes

For added depth, consider marinating pork chops overnight. Use a meat thermometer to ensure perfectly cooked pork.
