Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs. chicken tenders
- 1 pack Hawaiian slider buns
- Mayonnaise (to taste)
- Sweet Baby Ray’s Golden Mustard
- 8 strips bacon, cooked crispy
- Colby Jack cheese (slices for the sandwiches)
- 1/2 head of lettuce
- 1/2 small red onion, sliced thin
- 2 Roma tomatoes, sliced thin
- 4–5 tablespoons oil (for marinade and cooking chicken)
- 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 stick butter (softened)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: Place chicken tenders in a large zip-top bag or bowl with blackened seasoning and oil. Mix to coat evenly.
- Cook the Chicken: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook marinated chicken for about 3 minutes per side until fully cooked or grill them for a smoky flavor.
- Prepare the Butter Topping: Combine softened butter, parsley, and minced garlic in a small bowl. Microwave until melted and stir.
- Toast the Slider Buns: Slice Hawaiian rolls horizontally, lay cut-side up on a baking sheet and toast under the broiler until golden brown.
- Assemble the Sliders: Spread mayonnaise on bottom buns, add cooked chicken tenders, honey mustard, and slices of cheese. Brush tops with garlic butter and broil for a minute until cheese is melty.
- Add Toppings: Add crispy bacon, tomatoes, red onion, and lettuce. Drizzle more honey mustard and cap with top buns. Slice and serve.
Notes
Customize toppings as desired and remember to toast the buns to avoid sogginess.
