Description

A delicious and unique cheese ball that combines the flavors of cowboy caviar and jalapeño poppers, perfect for parties and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup corn, drained
  • 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced jalapeños
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 cup crushed tortilla chips for coating

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese until well blended.
  2. Add the black beans, corn, diced tomatoes, jalapeños, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and chili powder. Mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Shape the mixture into a ball and wrap it in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to firm up.
  4. Once chilled, remove the cheese ball from the wrap and roll it in crushed tortilla chips until fully coated.
  5. Serve with additional tortilla chips or vegetable sticks for dipping.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, use more jalapeños or add diced serrano peppers.
  • This cheese ball can be made a day in advance for convenience.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
