Description

Cheesy Baked Stuffed Tomatoes are a delicious and satisfying dish, perfect for a light meal or appetizer. These tomatoes are filled with a cheesy mixture and baked until golden and bubbly.


Ingredients

  • 4 large tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the tomatoes and scoop out the insides, leaving a shell.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the mozzarella cheese, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic, olive oil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stuff the mixture into the hollowed-out tomatoes.
  5. Place the stuffed tomatoes in a baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to add cooked ground meat or vegetables to the stuffing for extra flavor.
