Description

Asiago Roasted Onions are a delicious and flavorful side dish that combines the sweetness of roasted onions with the rich, nutty flavor of Asiago cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large onions, sliced
  • 1 cup Asiago cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped

  2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced onions with olive oil, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  3. Spread the onions evenly on a baking sheet.
  4. Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the onions are golden brown and tender.
  5. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the grated Asiago cheese over the top.
  6. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve warm as a side dish.
