Description

A comforting dish featuring succulent meatballs in a creamy sauce, served over perfectly cooked egg noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground beef, chopped onion, bread crumbs, egg, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Mix gently until well combined.
  2. Brown the meatballs in a heated skillet over medium heat, about 5-7 minutes until evenly browned.
  3. Remove the meatballs and set aside. In the same skillet, pour in the beef broth and soy sauce, bringing it to a gentle simmer.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream, then return the meatballs to the skillet and let them simmer for about 15-20 minutes.
  5. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions, draining them when finished.
  6. Serve the meatballs and sauce over the noodles, adding extra sauce on top.

Notes

This dish can be made ahead of time. Prepare the meatballs the night before and store in the refrigerator for deeper flavors.
